Trump Turnberry unveils 2026 Tournament Calendar

Trump Turnberry has announced its 2026 golfing calendar, unveiling a programme of competitive events across the Ailsa Course and King Robert the Bruce Course aimed at providing Scottish golfers with greater opportunities to compete at the world-renowned links destination while remaining open to players from further afield.

Central to the 2026 schedule is the launch of the Turnberry Summer Series, a new five-event competition introduced following the success of the resort’s Winter Series. Played monthly from May through September on the King Robert the Bruce course, the two-person better ball Stableford series is open to men and women, with a maximum playing handicap of 28 applying on the day.

The winning team at each monthly event will qualify for a Grand Final on the Ailsa Course in October, alongside the best-performing runner-up across the series. The final, staged on October 6, brings the summer-long competition to a close on the course ranked among the world’s top ten by Golf Digest.

Beyond the Summer Series, the 2026 calendar delivers a balanced mix of individual and team formats aimed at Scottish club golfers seeking competitive access to the championship links. April opens with the Turnberry Masters Friday on the Ailsa, while May and June see popular formats including a Texas Scramble, a Father’s Day two-man competition and early Summer Series qualifiers, all played on the King Robert the Bruce.

High summer features a sequence of events marking the breadth of Turnberry’s golfing community in Scotland and further afield, from the King Robert the Bruce Birthday competition in July to the Junior Open and Seniors Open in August, alongside the King Robert the Bruce Open later that month.

September brings the Turnberry Ladies Day on the King Robert the Bruce, continuing a long-standing fixture in the calendar, before the focus shifts back to the Ailsa for one of the most demanding tests of the year. Ailsa From the Tips returns in October, offering players the chance to experience the championship course from its full length in an individual Stableford format. The season concludes in December with the Christmas Tree Event on the Ailsa, combining competitive golf with a traditional end-of-year gathering.

Across the calendar, events are structured to include pre-round hospitality, with several competitions offering breakfast rolls, coffee and access to practice facilities, reinforcing the social dimension that has long characterised competitive golf at Turnberry. Entry fees vary by event and format, with pricing designed to reflect both the stature of the courses and the inclusive nature of the programme.

Nic Oldham, General Manager at Trump Turnberry, said: “Our focus is on delivering a programme that genuinely serves the Scottish golfing community while welcoming players from further afield who want to compete here. The Summer Series establishes a clear route through the season towards a final on the Ailsa, and our established opens and themed events continue to provide meaningful competition on the King Robert the Bruce.”

Set on the Ayrshire coast and steeped in more than a century of golfing history, Trump Turnberry remains one of Scotland’s most recognisable sporting venues. With the Ailsa and King Robert the Bruce courses continuing to attract global attention following recent renovations and investment, including new state-of-the-art academy and Trackman range, the 2026 events calendar underscores the resort’s position as a golfer’s paradise for visitors.
